David Lee Garrison, Poet

The poetry of David Lee Garrison has been read by Garrison Keillor on his radio show, “The Writer’s Almanac,” featured by Poet Laureate Ted Kooser in his internet column, “American Life in Poetry,” and read by Game of Thrones star Tara Fitzgerald on the BBC in London. 

His work has appeared in many journals and anthologies, and he was honored as Ohio Poet of the Year in 2014. His latest book is Light in the River, published by Dos Madres Press.

Beyond creating his own poetry, Garrison, a retired professor of Spanish and Portuguese, has translated the work of Spanish poets from Lope de Vega to Gloria Fuertes.
